Slow Motion Triple Feature

Next up for Shocktober, it's Mike's pick, From Beyond the Grave. Why don't they make anthology movies anymore? It's the perfect format for horror! Also, Kit calls dibs on Peter Cushing.

Hello, boils and ghouls! It's the return of Shocktober, and we're starting off our annual spookfest with the creep-quel to a movie we just watched, Blade II, starring Wesley Frights, Creep Creepstofferson, and Ron Demon and directed by Guillermo del Terror. The first cut is the deepest, but the second is the creepest! Blood pack? More like Blood wack!

It's Blade, motherfucker.

Jami Gertz! Glittery blood! The first openly gay child vampire hunter! We were born to shop and kill vampires, and our credit cards are all maxed out.

Tale as old as time

Bounty hunters chase

Blood Countess is mean

Takes us by surprise

I'm Dracula's son

But refuse to feast

Tale as old as time

Song as old as rhyme

Vampire Hunter D

Friend grow old and die

Left Hand is a guy

You wanna know how I got these...laughs? We're taking on the buddy-cop comedy classic that didn't kill any of its stars, The Dark Knight. What is Joker's plan? What does Nolan think about the Patriot Act? What the hell is Jim Gordon talking about? All that, plus an interview with Mike's friend David Dastmalchian...'s sock.

Well, we did it, folks. We made Kit watch Interstellar. Hell of a long movie. Space is real wacky, y'all.

The march toward forcing Kit to watch Interstellar begins with Dunkirk. Is it Nolan's masterpiece? Or is there still too much talking?

David Nutter directed several all-timer X-Files episodes. So why is this movie so not razor?

The Arrival had the misfortune of debuting a few weeks before Independence Day, but at least one member of the SMTF crew thinks its the better of those two movies! Justice for The Arrival!
